STRAWBERRY WASH TIP REVISED

STRAWBERRY WASH TIP REVISED

Strawberries after seven days in the refrigerator.
Earlier I got a suggestion to put strawberries through a vinegar wash to stop the mold that can form on expensive organic strawberries overnight.

I tried an experiment, and it works better.

I rinse the strawberries in a colander.  I got my window wash, which is 10% vinegar to 90% water and sprayed the berries.

Put them on a towel to dry.

Place in a container in the refrigerator.  They don't have a vinegar taste and remained mold free for more than a week.
